Mikhail Kolobov is the head of the “Quantum Optics and Quantum Information” group in the “laboratoire de Physique des Lasers, Atomes et Molecules” (PhLAM). He received his PhD at the University of Leningrad in 1989 and obtained his Habilitation in 1998 at the University of Essen, Germany. From 2001 he is full professor at the “Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille” (USTL). Together with Ivan Sokolov from St. Petersburg University he is one of the pioneers of the theory of quantum imaging. His current research interests include quantum limits of optical resolution, quantum limits in Compressed Sensing, and multipartite quantum entanglement.
